Great success in Istanbul

The world premiere of the latest Zeljko Joksimovic project “Balkan bazaar ” experienced a standing ovation in Turkey fulfilled the boldest expectations of distinguished guests in  the audience. Joksimovic has once again confirmed the title of mega star composer in Europe in the Istanbul where he started his international career 10 years ago at Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Lane moje”. Rhapsody of different sounds from the Balkans, combined with Željko ‘s  well- known compositions as well as film and theater music in new arrangements with his magnificent  Ad Hoc Orchestra left the audience breathless.

-Thanks everyone, I think I ‘m one of the luckiest people in the world at the moment – Joksimovic said immediately after the show while still trying to overcome the strong emotions after the successful debut of the long awaited Balkan project. – I have long dreamed of this and that dream has become true. I believe that everyone enjoyed and I hope that the audience in Serbia will soon hear the Balkan bazaar.

Two hours of music without a break began and ended with the famous song “Lane Moje “. Exactly 10 years ago in Istanbul Zeljko won second place at the Eurovision Song Contest in this town. The new arrangements of traditional music, Eurovision and other Zeljko’s composition, then the Jelena Tomasevic songs…

Special guest at the concert was Emina Jahovic -Sandal , who was with her husband Mustafa .

In the audience was Zeljko s wife Jovana and many of the Turkish diplomats . Consul at the Embassy of Serbia, Mr. Zoran Stankovic , Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Turkey congratulated Joksimovic  in the  back stage.

Zorlu Hall in Istanbul was built three months ago and is one of the most prestigious concert halls in the world where some of the top composers and musicians such as Jose Carreras , Nane Maskuri , Enio Morricone , Taksim Trio and others perform.
